Lisa-Marie Newton (IMDB) is an emerging filmmaker in San Francisco. She is also an award-winning actor and singer, onstage and on-screen, and a busy voiceover artist, voicing commercial, corporate, and medical videos.

Growing up on the chilly snowdrifts of Scandinavian, Lutheran Minnesota, Lisa-Marie’s writing explores what lies beneath the stoic, the flawless, and the “nice.”

Her current producing credits, Diagnosis Lois, a short she wrote and starred in, and The Overlook, an atmospheric study of grief she wrote and directed, are both in post-production. They should be submitted to festivals in early 2025. In addition, she is developing a feature film, The Producer, about two aspiring filmmakers (mother and daughter) who, unbeknownst to each other, become involved with the same unscrupulous producer leading to a breakthrough in their fraught relationship.

Lisa-Marie is a member of Encounters Film Collective in San Francisco and a member of The Spark File community, founded by Susan Blackwell and Laura Camien.  She lives on the coast in Pacifica with her husband, Scott, and their cat, Frieda.
